LMTV Before PMCS  Item #1 Windshield, Windshield Wipers, and Washer Reservoir A. Check windshield for damage that would impair Operator's vision. NFMC if Windshield is Cracked sufficiently to impair Operators Vision B. Check for missing or damaged windshield wiper blade. Notify Unit Maintenance if windshield wiper blade is missing or unserviceable. C. Check windshield washer reservoir fluid level. Add windshield washer fluid as required Item #1.1 Front and Rear Shackles; Check that shackle pins are not loose. Item #1.2 Cab Air Springs; Verify cab air springs are unpinned and pin is stowed in stowage bracket. Item #2 Exterior of Vehicle; Look under vehicle for signs of fluid leakage (fuel, oil, and coolant). NFMC if Class III leak is evident Item #3 Coolant; A: Check Coolant level.  Coolant Level should be between upper sight-glass and lower sight-glass on Radiator Overflow tank with engine Not Running Add Coolant as required; NFMC if Coolant level is below Lower Sight-Glass B. Check for engine oil in Coolant; NFMC if If engine oil is present, Notify Unit Maintenance C. Check Radiator Cap; NFMC if Radiator cap damaged or missing, notify Unit Maintenance. Item #4 Fuel Tank; A. Remove Fuel Cap and Fuel Strainer B. Check for presence of fuel in Fuel Tank C. Install Fuel Strainer and Fuel Cap Item #5 Spare Tire Strap; A. Check that Spare tire strap is tight B. Check that Spare Tire strap is not torn, frayed or damaged C. Check that Spare Tire Knob is in Raise Position D. Check that CAB knob (Air Springs) is pushed in. If Not, Push knob in and turn to the right. Item #6 Cab Hydraulic Latch; Check that Cab Hydraulic latch indicator button is in the Latched Position; NFMC if Cab will Not Securely Latch Item #7 Air/Hydraulic Power Unit; Check oil level on Dipstick and Add Oil as required Item #8 Seat Belts; Check all Three seat Belts for security, damage and proper operation; NFMC if Drivers seat belt and at least one other seat belt not in good working condition. Item #9 Driver’s Seat; Check Operation of Forward/Backward Adjustment Control; NFMC if Forward/Backward adjustment is broken or missing. Item #10 Fire Extinguisher A. Check for missing or damaged Fire Extinguisher; NFMC if Fire extinguisher is damaged or missing B. Check that fire extinguisher pressure is approximately 150 psi (1034 kPa); NFMC if Fire Extinguisher pressure gage needle is within discharge band Or Seal is Missing Item #11 Lighted Indicator Display A. Position Master Power Switch on B. Check the Following Indicator lights are illuminated: 
1. Stop 2. Park Brake 3. Emergency Brake 4. Rear Brake Air 5. Front Brake Air 6. Engine Oil Pressure; NFMC if Any of the listed indicator lights is not illuminated. Item #11.1 Windshield; Windshield Wipers and Washer Reservoir A. Check windshield washer switch for proper operation. Notify Unit Maintenance if windshield washer switch is inoperative. B. Check windshield wiper switch for proper operation. Notify Unit Maintenance if windshield wiper switch is inoperative. Item #12 Oil Pressure Gage A. Start Engine; NFMC if Gage indicates in red zone and engine oil pressure indicator is illuminated. B. Check that Engine Oil Pressure gage indicates Between 15-80 psi; NFMC if Gage reads below 15 psi Item #13 Tachometer; Check that tachometer indicates between 750-850 rpm while engine is at idle. If tachometer indicates engine rpm outside of 750- 850 rpm range, notify Unit Maintenance Item #14 Water Temp Gage; Check that Water Temp Gage indicates between 160-230F; NFMC if WATER TEMP gage indicates in red zone and high engine temperature indicator is illuminated Item #15 Air Filter Restriction Gage; Check AIR FILTER RESTRICTION GAUGE. Press reset button if gauge reads greater than 25 in. (in red area). If gauge still reads in red area after reset button is pressed, shut down engine and service air filter (para 3-9). Start engine (para 2-21a or b). Notify Unit Maintenance if gauge still reads in red area; NFMC if AIR FILTER RESTRICTION GAUGE reads greater than 25 in. (in red area). Item #16 FRONT BRAKE AIR and REAR BRAKE AIR Gages; Check that FRONT BRAKE AIR and REAR BRAKE AIR gages read between 65-120 psi; NFMC is Either gage indicates less than 65 psi (448 kPa), FRONT BRAKE AIR or REAR BRAKE AIR indicators illuminate, or audible alarm sounds. Item #17 Volts Gage; Check that VOLTS gage reads between 26 and 30 volts. NFMC if VOLTS gage indicates more than 30 volts or less than 26 volts. Item #18 Fuel Gage; Check FUEL gage for proper operation. Compare FUEL gage reading with observed level of fuel in fuel tank Item #19 System Park Control A. Pull out System Park Control B. Set WTEC II TEPSS or WTEC III TPSS to any forward gear (para 2- 21e) while engine is at idle (approximately 750 rpm). Vehicle should not move; NFMC if Vehicle moves with SYSTEM PARK control on. Item #20 WTEC II TEPSS or WTEC III TPSS; Check that WTEC II TEPSS or WTEC III TPSS operates properly in all gears; NFMC if One gear range does not operate properly or LED display indicates service message which cannot be reset. Item #21 Turn Signal Control; Check turn signal control and indicators for proper operation. Item #22 Hazard Lights Switch; Check Hazard Lights switch for proper Operation Item #23 Controls and Indicators; Monitor all gages, warning lights, and warning buzzers during operation. NFMC if Warning lights or buzzers indicate a malfunction and immediate corrective action by the Operator will not correct the problem.
