DURING OPERATIONS PMCS
Monitor these items while the vehicle is operating. Stop immediately if any NFMC condition is observed.

Monitor engine temperature gauge — must stay in normal operating range (between L and H)
Monitor oil pressure gauge — must show pressure within 10 seconds of startup; minimum 10 PSI at idle
Monitor voltmeter/ammeter — must show charge (14–15V); investigate if showing discharge
Check for unusual engine noises — knocking, rattling, or excessive exhaust smoke
Check steering response — no excessive play, pulling, or binding
Check brake performance — vehicle must stop in a straight line without pulling or grinding
NFMC — No Further Movement Criteria. Any fault on an NFMC item means the vehicle is non-mission-capable and must not be dispatched until repaired. Annotate on DA Form 5988 immediately.
