AFTER OPERATIONS PMCS

Check engine compartment for fluid leaks — oil, coolant, fuel, or hydraulic fluid on ground or components

Check engine oil level — top off if below MIN; investigate if significantly low

Check coolant level — top off if low; never open radiator cap when hot

Check transmission fluid level — top off if below MIN

Inspect all tires for damage, embedded objects, or abnormal wear after operation

Inspect brake lines and hoses for chafing, leaks, or damage

Inspect driveshafts and U-joints for damage, missing hardware, or excessive play

Inspect axle shafts and CV joints for boots torn, leaking, or damaged

Check wheel lug nuts for tightness — torque to 125 ft-lbs if loose

Inspect exhaust system — no loose hangers, cracks, or leaks near cab

Check air filter restriction indicator — service if red band shows

Inspect fuel system — check fuel lines, filter, and tank for leaks or damage

Check all exterior lights for damage or burned-out bulbs

Inspect body and frame for damage — dents, cracks, or loose components

Check doors, latches, and hinges — must open, close, and latch properly

Inspect windshield and mirrors for cracks or damage affecting visibility

Check seat belts and mounting hardware — must latch, retract, and release properly

Inspect canvas top and doors (if equipped) — no tears, missing snaps, or broken zippers

Clean vehicle exterior — remove mud, debris, and corrosive materials

Complete DA Form 5988 — annotate all faults found; submit to motor sergeant
