BEFORE OPERATIONS PMCS
Perform these checks before every flight. Items marked NFMC will ground the aircraft until corrected.

Check engine oil level (No. 1 and No. 2 T700 engines) — must be within operating range on sight glass; check for leaks at oil tank and lines
Check main transmission oil level — must be at FULL on sight glass; inspect for leaks at case, cooler lines, and fittings
Check tail rotor gearbox oil level — must be at FULL on sight glass; inspect for leaks at case and fittings
Check intermediate gearbox oil level — must be at FULL on sight glass; inspect for leaks at case and fittings
Check hydraulic fluid level (No. 1 and No. 2 systems) — must be at FULL on reservoir; inspect for leaks at pump, lines, and actuators
Check fuel quantity — fill to required level; inspect fuel caps, crossfeed valve, fuel lines, and fittings for leaks
Inspect main rotor head — check blade grips, pitch links, scissors, and hub for cracks, corrosion, or missing hardware
Inspect all four main rotor blades — check for delamination, cracks, dents, or erosion strip damage; annotate blade position
Inspect tail rotor head and blades — check blade grips, pitch links, and all four blades for cracks, dents, or erosion strip damage
Inspect tail rotor drive shaft — check all segments for dents, cracks, and security of hanger bearings and couplings
Inspect No. 1 and No. 2 T700 engines — check for fuel and oil leaks, FOD in inlet, and security of cowling and exhaust
Check engine air particle separators (EAPS) — must be clean and free of obstruction; check for damage to separator vanes
Check pitot tubes and static ports — must be clear of obstructions; remove covers before flight
Inspect landing gear — check all four gear for proper extension, tire condition, and strut inflation
Check all exterior lights — position lights, anti-collision lights, searchlight, and formation lights operational
Inspect fuselage skin — check for cracks, corrosion, missing fasteners, or impact damage
Inspect all antennas — check for security, damage, and proper installation
Check battery — check electrolyte level and terminal connections; verify battery switch operation
Inspect cargo hook (if installed) — check for proper operation, locking mechanism, and condition of hook assembly
Check doors and windows — inspect for cracks, proper latching, and security of hinges; check emergency exits clear
NFMC — No Further Movement Criteria. Any fault on an NFMC item means the vehicle is non-mission-capable and must not be dispatched until repaired. Annotate on DA Form 5988 immediately.
