AFTER OPERATIONS PMCS
Perform these checks after every recovery mission or movement. Allow engine to cool before checking fluids.

Check engine compartment for fluid leaks — oil, coolant, fuel, or hydraulic fluid on ground or components
Check engine oil level — top off if below MIN; investigate if significantly low
Check coolant level in surge tank — top off if low; never open cap when hot
Check transmission fluid level — top off if below MIN
Check hydraulic oil level — top off if below MIN; check for new leaks
Inspect main winch cable after use — check for kinks, broken strands, or damage from recovery operations
Inspect boom and spade for damage — check for cracks or deformation sustained during recovery operations
Inspect track and road wheels — check for damage, thrown track, or loose hardware after operations
Clean and lubricate winch cables — apply cable lubricant; remove debris from cable and drum
Annotate all faults on DA Form 5988 — report to motor sergeant; document recovery operations performed
NFMC — No Further Movement Criteria. Any fault on an NFMC item means the vehicle is non-mission-capable and must not be dispatched until repaired. Annotate on DA Form 5988 immediately.
