Check engine oil level — must be between MIN and MAX on dipstick
Check coolant level in overflow reservoir — must be at FULL COLD or FULL HOT line
Check power steering fluid level — must be at FULL COLD or FULL HOT line
Check brake fluid level in master cylinder reservoir — must be at MAX line
Check transmission fluid level — must be between MIN and MAX on dipstick (engine warm, running)
Check transfer case fluid level — must be at fill plug level
Check front and rear differential fluid levels — must be at fill plug level
Check battery electrolyte level — must be 3/8 inch above plates; check terminals for corrosion
Check fuel level — fill to required level; check for leaks around fuel cap and lines
Inspect all tires for proper inflation — 30 PSI on-road, 20 PSI off-road; check for cuts, bulges, or embedded objects
Check spare tire — must be properly mounted and inflated to 30 PSI
Check all lights — headlights (high/low), taillights, brake lights, turn signals, blackout lights
Check windshield wipers and washer fluid — blades must make full contact; fluid reservoir filled
Check horn operation — must sound when activated
Check service brakes — pump pedal 3 times, hold firm; pedal must not sink to floor
Check parking brake — must hold vehicle on grade; release fully when disengaged
NFMC — No Further Movement Criteria. Any fault on an NFMC item means the vehicle is non-mission-capable and must not be dispatched until repaired. Annotate on DA Form 5988 immediately.
